From June 09 to 11, 2015, GRAITEC is organizing its first North American Autodesk® Advance Steel User Group in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Supported by Autodesk and local industry specialists, the User Group aims to provide an advanced training to all GRAITEC Advance Steel customers. They will assist to technical presentations and experience Autodesk® Advance Steel and GRAITEC solutions 2016 versions. It will help them go deeper in some of the major functions and tools, get a clear understanding of the software’s full potential and interact with other industry professionals.

Over 1,000 exhibitors from 33 countries around the world, gathered recently at the 2nd annual BUDMA International Construction and Architectural Fair, bringing together representatives from across the construction industry.

The Construction Fair, held in Poznań, Poland from 10th to 13th March, showcased technology solutions, innovative practices and the latest industry trends alongside specialized exhibitions, seminars and presentations.

Highlights of the fair included an Architectural Forum in collaboration with the Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland, exhibiting technologically advanced products and structures; specific Civil Engineering Days focussing on such issues as construction law, and the current hot topic of public building energy saving regulations throughout the EU.

Autodesk Platinum Partner, GRAITEC Robobat was delighted to be invited to be part of the “BIM in Practice” seminar held at the BUDMA International Fair, on Wednesday 11th March 2015. This presentation was supported by four engineers from leading Autodesk distributor; DATech based in Krakow, participating as workshop leaders, whose exceptional levels of expertise were further reinforced by positive participant evaluation.

GRAITEC Robobat session comprised presentations of own and Autodesk products and solutions, including customer experiences from construction giant SKANSKA and the creative engineering firm, BuroHappold. This seminar proved incredibly popular with almost 70 professional engineers attending and more than half seeking additional help and advice from GRAITEC Robobat after the seminar.

Advance BIM Designers – Positive feedback at Autodesk University 2014

GRAITEC’s presentation at the 2014 Autodesk University, this December in Las Vegas, was a great success, where almost 100 participants attended the class.

Key speakers for the class were:

The main focus of the presentation was to emphasize the power of automation possible for Reinforced Concrete Structures from a BIM model in Revit that contains not just the analytical model but also the design and results data. Advance BIM Designers, GRAITEC’s new range of Revit performance extensions is set to disrupt the traditional workflow engineering and is positioned as the next-generation software for analysis, intuitive modelling, automatic drawing and report creation directly from Revit.

Although the product is scheduled to be released next year, the announcement of Advance BIM Designers was received with excitement, many attendees being very impressed with the level of automation and the design driven reinforced requirements of the product.

GRAITEC customers already have big expectations for the BIM Designers enabling them to harness the potential of a true BIM workflow centred around Revit, meaning Revit will not only be a 3D CAD tool, but a real BIM platform,which also includes analysis to manage the whole project.

BIM Breakfast with Autodesk in Prague

On 5th of November companies Graitec and Autodesk organized an event for leading architectural and engineering companies focused on BIM. The event took place on the premises of the ancient Brevnov monastery in Prague.

Mr. Patrik Minks, Autodesk Territory Sales Executive, opened the event with short summary of the terminology and benefits of BIM in the construction industry. Mr. Miroslav Vyčítal, main site manager at SKANSKA, introduced the audience to the construction company’s experience in the implementation of BIM processes in their projects in Czech Republic. On projects of customers using Advance Steel and Advance Concrete, Mr. Tomáš Huml, Graitec Local Product Manager, demonstrated the exchange data between individual professions, with focus on steel and concrete constructions. The participants appreciated the international know-how in the field of BIM delivered by Graitec.

Mr. Miroslav Kohout, Graitec country manager, highlights: “Succeeding in the strong competition on the market means for our customers the sophisticated implementation of modern technology with the support of the GRAITEC professionals.”

GRAITEC Acquires Robobat Polska

GRAITEC, an international software developer of BIM, CAD and structural analysis solutions across the AEC sector, and global Autodesk Reseller is pleased to announce the acquisition of Robobat Polska, based in Poland. The acquisition was closed on Thursday October 2nd in Krakow (Poland). Financial details have not been disclosed.

The acquisition of an Autodesk Gold partner will reinforce the position of GRAITEC on in the BIM market and strengthen its direct sales network in central Europe. It will also significantly reinforce the Autodesk partnership.

This acquisition will also allow International Robot Structural Analysis users to benefit from the experience of a strong structural analysis specialist operating for more than 25 years in this market.

The Robobat Research and Development team will join the GRAITEC effort in designing and developing innovative software solutions contributing to BIM adoption by construction professionals around the world.
