Graitec Brings the Future of Making-Rebar in Revit to Autodesk University 2018

GRAITEC, an international BIM and CAD software developer with more than 30 years expertise in AEC, and Autodesk® Platinum Partner is proud to announce that one of its online courses made the short list of trending classes at Autodesk University.

The Future of Making-Rebar in Revit session is among the most viewed course this month, and it provides an in-depth view on automating the modeling, detailing and scheduling of structural elements within Revit in one connected workflow.

The course delivers a both engaging and comprehensive session, showing how intelligent BIM data in a connected workflow can enable structural elements (such as footings, columns, and beams) to be automatically modeled, detailed, and scheduled using Revit software.

The session includes four key learning points:

  • Connected structural BIM workflow
  • Benefits of intelligent BIM data
  • Detailed 3D rebar cages in Revit
  • A more automated finish with the use of default or custom Revit families.

The main focus lies on a more automated creation of designed 3D reinforcement cages in Revit software, with the use of default or custom structural Revit families. The course also explores the configuration of automated drawings, views, bar scheduled and design reports using standard Revit families.

GRAITEC took on Las Vegas during the Autodesk University and Fabtech

GRAITEC, an international BIM and CAD software developer for AEC, and Autodesk® Platinum Partner in US and across Europe, took on Las Vegas during the Autodesk University and Fabtech.

After an exciting week at Las Vegas this past month, the Graitec team came home with full minds! As the exhibitors and attendees of Autodesk University and Fabtech packed up and headed for home, so did the Graitec team following a full week of inventive ideas and latest technology. We had a chance to make the most of this week!

GRAITEC took on Las Vegas during the Autodesk University and Fabtech

First off, we were happy to share our booth with SigmaTEK at Fabtech, the North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing event. Our partner was showcasing SigmaNEST X1, the popular sheet metal CAD/CAM system, offering improved functionality for CNC punch, laser, and plasma machines. We recognized how enthusiastic our potential and current customers were throughout the exposition. We enjoyed showing off demo after demo what our software can do and how Advance Steel, Autodesk® structural detailing software, Advance Workshop, our steel fabrication management solution and SigmaNEST can streamline fabrication workflow. Casual conversations turned into discovering someone’s need for BIM solutions.

Graitec is also excited to have taken involvement in Autodesk University 2016 to a new level in many exciting ways.

GRAITEC took on Las Vegas during the Autodesk University and Fabtech

As a major supplier to the structural sector, Graitec was once again a key sponsor and exhibitor of the MEP & Structural Fabricators Forum. Throughout the day and into the evening, we were meeting with our peers as attendees were exploring future technologies. Visitors met Graitec experts at the exhibition stand between classes to discuss their needs, discover the new range of cutting-edge solutions and ask for usb drives with Graitec classes material.

Graitec was very involved in Autodesk University. Indeed, five of our brightest employees were covering hot industry focused topics at both MEP & Fabricators Forum and Autodesk University. Their recordings are now online and you can take a moment to review their classes.

As we reach out to our potential customer’s following Fabtech and Autodesk University, we want to open the door for any and all to have a casual discussion with us about your needs and how our BIM solutions can help. Thank you to everyone who made our shows a success and remember, Be part of the BIM revolution!

Keep up with all things Graitec do by contacting us, visiting our events page, signing up for our monthly newsletter or joining us on LinkedIn. We want to connect with you!

Positive feedback as GRAITEC launch their BIM Designers at Autodesk University 2014

The class delivered at AU entitled “Taking Advantage of BIM for Reinforced Concrete Structure” hosted by Carl Spalding, Group Product Strategy Director and Joseph Pais, Analysis and Design Product Line Manager at GRAITEC Innovation, emphasised the potential power of automation possible for creation of Reinforced Concrete Structures from a true Revit BIM model.

As a leading international software provider and Autodesk developer partner, GRAITEC is committed to delivering innovative BIM technology to address every-day engineering challenges. The preview launch of GRAITEC”s new BIM Designers software solutions (available mid 2015) to a class of almost 100 participants at AU2014, received positive feedback across the board. Utilising the power of BIM to transfer engineering data (results and loads) to Revit in order to automate “design-driven” creation of 3D rebar, drawings and schedules introduces positive disruptive changes to an otherwise traditional and manual process.

Due for release in 2015, GRAITEC BIM Designers are a new range of Revit performance extensions; powerful software designed to enhance and utilise analysis, intuitive modelling, automatic drawing and report creation directly from Revit using “single button” operations.

Watch a recording of the GRAITEC Class delivered at AU2014 or learn more about the GRAITEC BIM Designers at www.graitec.com/bimdesigners.

Advance BIM Designers – Positive feedback at Autodesk University 2014

GRAITEC’s presentation at the 2014 Autodesk University, this December in Las Vegas, was a great success, where almost 100 participants attended the class.

Key speakers for the class were:

  • Carl Spalding – Group Product Strategy Director, GRAITEC Innovation
  • Joseph PAIS – Analysis & Design Product Line Manager, GRAITEC Innovation

The main focus of the presentation was to emphasize the power of automation possible for Reinforced Concrete Structures from a BIM model in Revit that contains not just the analytical model but also the design and results data. Advance BIM Designers, GRAITEC’s new range of Revit performance extensions is set to disrupt the traditional workflow engineering and is positioned as the next-generation software for analysis, intuitive modelling, automatic drawing and report creation directly from Revit.

Although the product is scheduled to be released next year, the announcement of Advance BIM Designers was received with excitement, many attendees being very impressed with the level of automation and the design driven reinforced requirements of the product.

GRAITEC customers already have big expectations for the BIM Designers enabling them to harness the potential of a true BIM workflow centred around Revit, meaning Revit will not only be a 3D CAD tool, but a real BIM platform, which also includes analysis to manage the whole project.

Stay tuned for more updated for GRAITEC Advance BIM Designers.
