GRAITEC BIM Connect is a software add-on for Autodesk REVIT and part of the GRAITEC BIM solution. With GRAITEC BIM Connect, Autodesk REVIT users can quickly connect their REVIT models to the GRAITEC Advance suite and then optimize the design of their structures in accordance with U.S. and EUROCODE standards, produce effective and error-free general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and NC files both for steel and concrete structures.

With version 2013, important features have been added:

  1. Hello,
Our main office is located in montreal Quebec and we have offices in other cities world wide. We use revit 2012 and ADA 2011. We are trying to use your BIM connect with no success. We also trying to get support with Graitec in Longueuil, Quebec Canada with no success. To reduce time and error we realy whant to use a software that can link a structure software with revit 2012. We know that ROBOT does that work but we would prefere to stay with ADA. Can we have technical support on this please? Our IT analyst Denis Lafrance have been in contact with Myrna of your Longueuil Office.

Thank you to get back with this matter.

    • Hello,
In addition to the native Graitec Advance “gtc” format, Graitec BIM Connection plug-in can also import SNDF (both 2.0 and 3.0 versions), CIS2, IFC and PSS file formats, allowing import from other software into Revit.
Also, Advance packages can transfer information through SNDF (both 2.0 and 3.0 versions), CIS2, IFC and PSS file formats. So, in order to use transfer information with Tekla users, you could use SDNF, CIS2, IFC or PSS import/export.

  2. Well,

between Advance and Revit can also do import / export with IFC and other formats listed here.

Why the plug? That’s because in the above format import / export does not work with Revit ….

And that is why I, user Tekla ask nicely when will be the plug for us 🙂

GRAITEC Advance is a very good program for detailing who would like to buy it, because Tekla is too expensive!!! 🙂

I would like modeled in Tekla steel and drawings done in Advance.
This will allow me to slowly move to the Advance
